Advanced Improvisation sessions will focus on developing the improviser's harmonic language and solid structural framework for "spontaneous composition." Rondo, Song Form, Sonata Allegro, Versets, etc. will be explored for use in liturgical settings. The classes will use Jeffrey Brillhart's improvisation textbook, "Breaking Free" (available on Amazon.com) and a draft copy of his second textbook, "A World of Possibilities: Master Lessons in Improvisation." (Copies of that book will be provided).

The participation fee is $50 for the semester (four sessions), payable to the Philadelphia Chapter. The number of active participants will be limited to 12. The number of auditors is unlimited.

Session are 9:00am to 12:00pm. The dates are:

May 19
